Construction Before & After in West Covina, CA
Photos of finished remodels only tell half the story. The other half is what the space looked like when we first walked in. That’s why we document every project from the first day to the final walkthrough. In West Covina, where homes range from 1950s ranches to 1980s hillside builds, the starting point is rarely pretty. The finish, though, should be.

Primary Bathroom Gut Renovation in South Hills
Before
After
Before
AfterThe homeowner had one bathroom upstairs and a shower that leaked into the garage below. We tore it down to studs, corrected the slope on the subfloor, and rebuilt the wet area with a full Schluter waterproofing system. The result is a zero-threshold shower with a Cambria quartz bench and no grout lines on the floor to scrub.
Kitchen Opening and Island Addition in Galster Wilderness Area
Before
After
A wall cut this kitchen off from the only natural light in the house. We engineered a flush beam to carry the load, then ran the new island right through the old wall line so nobody can tell where it used to be. The counters are Caesarstone in a matte finish, and the cabinets are KraftMaid with soft-close everything.
Whole-Home Refresh in Valinda

This 1962 ranch had good bones but four decades of patchwork updates. We stripped the popcorn ceilings, installed a consistent flooring plane across 1,800 square feet, and replaced every hollow-core door with solid MDF. The owners stayed in place for six weeks while we worked in zones, and we sent photo updates at every stage so they always knew what was happening back home.
Hallway Bathroom Repair and Retile in East Valinda

What started as a “quick tile patch” turned into a real find: the subfloor under the toilet had been silently rotting for years. We replaced the subfloor section, waterproofed the entire floor before tiling, and swapped in a Moen pressure-balanced valve while the wall was open. The homeowner approved the written change before a single extra board went in. No surprises on the invoice, because there was a written price from day one.
Exterior Siding and Roof Package in the Heights

West Covina summers bake west-facing walls, and this one had given up. We pulled the old siding, inspected the sheathing underneath, replaced two sheets that showed dry rot, and wrapped the house before hanging James Hardie plank. The roof went on the same week with GAF architectural shingles, so the whole exterior now matches and sheds water like it should.
